The modern versions and the NIV being among the worst of them derive from a corrupted text and are translated using faulty premises. Though I am sure God has sovereignly ruled so that, in most modern translations, the most pressing truths are preserved, the King James Version is the only version of the Bible that uses the correct manuscripts as its basis and was translated for a pure motive. Unlike with technology, when it comes to the Word of God, newer scholarship does not produce a better product.
