Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last….
'Twas just a simple afternoon break being spent listening to a song that was released almost two decades now. All I can do is emit a long, deep sigh. Why do songs perfectly fit into someone else's feelings at a particular time?
Time's ticking, and I didn't notice. It already brought me somewhere far away, yet it feels so near. And here comes the feeling of reminiscing, making me go back to such old days – a simple life, no extra problems, and just living life the way I want it.
Hi and hello greetings permeate the atmosphere, and the happy vibe emanating from within reflects a positive vibe to everyone. As contagious as it can be, I just can't help but smile. But I never thought that such an upward curve shape in my lips would be frequently used to hide the monster trying to weaken what's strong enough.
The melody keeps on making the feeling intense. The lyrics – it hits differently.
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again

It's challenging and very exhausting when one crucial part of the tower blocks you keep on building suddenly falls off. As a consequence, it weakens the foundation, almost causing the tower to collapse.
However, just because the tower felt something like an earthquake of challenges doesn't mean it has to fall. So long as the other blocks keep on holding on together and believing that whatever kind of struggle it is, it may be shaken but not totally shattered, especially when accompanied by faith and strong will.
After all the years that have passed, I realized that it is when the wind is calm, and the surrounding is so silent when the strongest storms hit. And just like the song "wake me up when September ends" by an American rock band - Green Day, it means to me that in the eyes of an individual like me who's born to be a fighter, the month signifies the calm before the storm. As you wake me up, it not only makes me ready to face the challenges but also reminds me of my purpose – to live the life I want without letting myself be swallowed by my fears, doubts, and uncertainties.
The silence can be deafening. What would come is a bit terrifying. But just believe that miracles can happen anytime, and the best is yet to come.
…Becoming who we are
I suddenly felt the afternoon rays of the sun passing through my window. I woke up from a short nap. It made it clear that it's just all in mind. But nevertheless, I felt it, and it's like surreal. I can relate because that's how I am, and I am always trying my best to overcome every debacle while developing my best potential and becoming someone I envisioned myself. You, too, can do it as well.
Overall, the song "wake me up when September ends" means that challenges may come next as the calm state ends, and they are natural. So be ready and focus. Anyway, just like the problems that came before the current one, this too shall pass because the Man from above will always be here. There's always an option, though, but choose what's best in every scenario.
The song is about to finish and I sing along.
Wake me up when September ends.
This serves as my official entry for the fourth-week contest of Hive PH. I hope it somehow ignites a spark in your heart to continue moving forward despite difficulties and uncertainties. Cheer up, dear fighter.
