The reason for my humble writing is that I want to reach the stars and unfortunately I can't just do it on my own. And I'd also like to see full potential of humanity unleashed, because I'm curious not only about what lies beyond horizons I can see myself, but beyond horizons that I'm not even aware of. I need other people to show them to me.
And then to see and reach new horizons we need to be free men. Only freedom provides energy and imagination. New ideas, solutions and ways can emerge when our potential is not bound by having to work for food, having our horizons clouded by religions, having our eyes glued to TV sets. When we're not fear-bound.
Now, when I say "freedom" I mean full paradigm shift, not mere replacement of one set of masters by another, not even replacement of our masters by ourselves. In us-vs-them mentality the struggle is to move power from them to us. When people dream of revolution they tend to dream of becoming chieftains of kindergartens. They want to rule. It is achievable, but it is not what unconditional freedom is.
I want to be neither master nor slave, as I see those roles to be contradictions of what it means to be human. I want us to grow out of hierarchical mentality, so we can cooperate, not serve, create, not work, fully participate in the big picture instead of trying to survive building pyramids for other people. Merely sustaining existence is not what we are here for. Panem et circenses? We should have grown out of that ages ago. So many coincidences needed to happen in order for universe to appear, so our consciousness could manifest, and it is being wasted away.
Now, freedom is just a necessary condition, our natural state. Basis. Not a goal itself. Freedom is great, natural and, like air, we should enjoy it without focusing on it, while being acutely aware if it is being endangered. The goal is the possibilities that open up when we are free. When we are not threatened by violence if we disobey or trespass some artificial lines. No violence means no fear, and no fear means we can open up. We can expand. We can love ourselves, others, the world, and we can fly. This is another critically important thing: only unconditional freedom can cause new horizons and new possibilities to emerge out of oceans of mind. We can't command ideas to appear, we can only create conditions for them to emerge - clear field, saw seeds, and flowers will grow, as if by magic. You can't create an anthill by giving orders to individual ants. You let them be themselves, and what they create is awesome.
The project... After a few iterations and attempts at creating (coding) something that could help with making the world a better place I wrote this text to serve as outline of principles, to set priorities straight and make the path clearer. It's just a a basis for further endeavors. Each part of the text deserves further clarification, expansion, examples of possible solutions. Maybe even attempting to build a real solutions for real problems. My intention is to to do exactly that, and by doing it I hope to explore possibilities of increasing individual freedom and reaching the following list of goals (it feels short, incomplete and basic, human being should set the bar higher I think):
The first point requires some subpoints, as it is, in fact, quite wide. Suffering is generally synonymous or parallel to various kinds of physical violence inflicted upon individual, resulting in serious limitation of potential - being dead or disabled does that. But it is not only about physical damage - violence can also be of subtler kind, economical, social, etc - structural violence it is called these days - and it affects resources and time. Like, for example, working three jobs just to survive and be able to provide food for children. Freeing up resources and time should result in free energy appearing in the system, energy people can use to pursue their own higher goals. Some amount of that free energy can be reasonably expected to be used for other purposes than drinking beer while watching sports. I for one have list of things to read, learn and do sufficient for hundred lifetimes, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with such list. And perhaps after some amount of watching sports and drinking beer there would be a spark of curiosity developing in everyone? After all human spirit can be subdued, broken, ignored and generally denied, but as long as we breath we have a chance for healing and reconnecting with the world... with the spirit of the world. If there is even a tiniest spark of consciousness, there is hope for expansion, there is a chance for getting our focus, will and energy back.
Mostly it's wasted on getting whatever is necessary to survive - shelter, water, food, electricity, internet, facebook. The thing is, in this day and age we should no longer need to struggle to get those. Some time ago, yes, obtaining necessities needed real, physical effort. People needed to build a house themselves, hunt down something to eat for dinner, etc. However, now we are able to provide basic things for everyone on the planet for small fraction of resources we spend on, for example, killing each other.
Also, think about it this way: the most important thing we need to survive is oxygen, and yet we have it for free, system of the world is providing it conveniently for us, all we have to do is refrain from destroying it (and, frankly, we're not very good at not destroying our home).
Water, the next condition of our existence - almost the same thing, and again, we already managed to spoil most of it.
Food? It could cost next to nothing if it wasn't for greed and exploitation. Half of the world is starving, while the other half throws out leftovers or food that did not sell, and suffers from diabetes. It might be by design or "that's just how the world works", it's not important, what is important is that it does not have to be so.
Then, shelters. To get a mortgage, at least where I live and used to live, one has to prove being compatible with current financial system, and then it is 30 years of labor just to be able to keep it. And during that 30 years the place is not really mine. I can always sell it and go to live in a trailer, or I could build a teepee. Why not? It's my choice, and and statistically most of society's choice and I would not be talking about it if it had to be so for a valid reason. But, again, the choice we are presented with is not complete.
Then, energy... Tesla knew is can be free. Maybe not conjured out of thin air, but free as in available to everyone for cost that's next to nothing. Free energy would be single most liberating step in history of bloodless revolutions.
In Sneakers there is, almost at the end, a scene when positive characters declare what they want as a reward, and government official plays the role of a good geenie, granting those wishes.
It's a funny scene, not very modern cinema maybe, but at the end of it...
"I want peace on earth and goodwill toward men."
"We are the United States Government. We don't do that sort of thing."
When I first watched it ages ago it was just funny. It seemed... innocent. Many years later sinister undertones were screaming at me - indeed, governments do not do such things. It is not in their nature. Perhaps it is even against their nature, as politicians thrive on conflicts and problems, they'd be out of jobs otherwise. So if the world needs a change, government is not the first in the queue. Officials and celebrities are, mostly, part of the system, and because their existence and status depend on the system, they can't be reasonably expected to act against it. They won't bit the hand that feeds them. But, fortunately, I am nobody, so I can dream and think about things like direct democracy, ecology, sustainable living, self-ownership, crypto-revolution and other things related to building a springboard to reach the stars. And now that I read Steem posts every day, I see that I'm not alone. It's a great feeling indeed.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

So, this was the fourth and last part of the text that started as short, three -paragraphs-tops, introduction. Coming next, well... everything else. The rats are ready :)
