If I asked what the deadliest animal is, you would quickly list the ferocious and scary beasts that can gruesomely kill in an instant.

However, in terms of the number of kills, you might be surprised which tops the list in a year. While sharks and wolves kill an average of 10 people; elephants and lions kill 500 people; crocodiles kill 1,000 people and snakes kill about 50,000 people yearly.

This number, however is insignificant compared to lives that are lost to the deadliest creature in the world. According to World Health Organization, this creature is responsible for the death of more than 1 million people every year. It is estimated that this creature kills one child every 30 seconds.

The deadly bite of this creature can cause a myriad of diseases. It can cause encephalitis, filariasis, yellow fever, West Nile Virus, Chikungunya virus, Zika virus, malaria and dengue fever. This creature is none other than the mosquito.

At first sight, mosquito doesn't seem scary or dangerous like crocodiles, sharks, lions and snakes. In fact, you'd rather have fun chasing it around to kill it; yet it is the deadliest of the above mentioned creatures. In the same vein, there are seemingly little things like the mosquito that may appear harmless in the life of a Christian.

You may even say it doesn't matter, yet they have the capacity to drag a Christian to the pit of hell.
