Today, I embarked on a business journey to a neighbouring town some few kilometres to my destination, we encountered a traffic gridlock whereby every vehicle was on standstill, no vehicular movement whatsoever to and from.
We all had to alight from the vehicle and started trekking as the gridlock cannot be cleared anytime soon.
Getting to a certain junction, we saw what actually led to the traffic. A tipping vehicle emptied its contents on a passerby due to the nefarious activities of a Policemen extorting diesel marketers on the highway, the victim died on the spot which snowballed into a protest by civilians.
The aftermath was the unrest that led to the total blockage of the expressway by the protesters.
I had to embark on endurance trekking 😆
