Would it be crazy to say that I prefer a picture result from Samsung A01 to A15 ?
Samsung A01 is a low tier Samsung released back in 2019. It has 13 MP with LCD screen whereas A15 is newer model with 50MP and Amoled screen. The difference between the two is mostly in the sharpness of the details. Yet there is also something significantly different, the color science of the camera rather than the camera quality.
There is more character to it than the result produced from newer camera. But I know, some people prefer details and sharpness than blurred pictures.
What I am noticing about newer camera is that its sharpness and more technically rigid. What I am saying is that, older camera gives warmer look without much editing while newer camera, they have better technicalities but it looks colder. It's as if you take pictures with it, the world feels like a giant hospital, clean and boring.
When I captured with my A01, it feels like my creative mojo is back and I want to explore places with this tiny phone. While it might not have the sharpness, it makes the world looks a lot more interesting and makes me want to explore.
If you have older camera/phone, try to capture something with it and see if you spot the difference. I genuinely prefer this aesthetic over the pictures produced by newer models.
