Thank you for adding this into something to consider. I can say 9 out of 10 I create my own frictions too without realizing that some of those friction can be avoidable if I was more "patient" and even when money is tight, my focus these days would always be reducing future friction which typically mean, waiting times.
And sometimes, people create their own frictions.
My biological mother has money but she likes to create frictions and adds a lot of stressor to the way she functions and runs her business. The problem is that it also affects people around her who perhaps those unnecessary stressor. I never understand why and this is why we probably don't get along. I prefer less friction and she doesn't.
