I have to say though, word count doesn't matter as long as you get your point across. Be it 1 word to 1000 words, each of us has a way to elaborate things. And like you said,

what it really is to write with passion, to lose track of time and get flooded in the great ideas that our brain manufactures and that sometimes we do not recognize that potential.

And eventually, it'll show in your work that you write from purely passion or not.
