Sometimes, we find ourselves chasing after happiness in distant places, unaware that true contentment might be closer than we think.
Some people spent their early morning sleeping in.
Others are out the door, racing to work before 7 AM.
Some dedicate their mornings to taking care of their family.
Some seize the early morning for a workout.
And some have their fingers crossed, hoping to make sales.
I was one of those people at different stages of life who thought happiness was just out of reach. But when I started doing a lot of self-reflection, I discovered that contentment can come from the little things.
These small moments of happiness might not make sense to others, but they powerfully remind me that being happy doesn't require expensive luxury. One of the simplest reminders of this is the sun shining beautifully in the sky.
Today, I went out at the usual time, 5-6 AM, when my neighborhood started buzzing. People were going to work, the market, the school, and just working out. I was waiting for the sun to come up because these past few weeks, it has been looking really amazing. It is at the right angle and bathing the sky in beautiful colors.
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do it. So, I captured these shots and the strangers I get to say HI randomly.
As much as things have been chaotic at home with my dad falling ill again, I find strength and solace in these simple joys of life. I remind myself that I'll do my best and things will be alright again.
