January Blooms

While in some parts of the world it’s still snowing and the best time to go snowboarding, over my part of the world it’s January rain. During this month, some flowers bloom beautifully and once in a while they get proper sunlight. Especially where I am currently living now, the area is adorned with so many beautiful flowers and plantations. Since the neighborhood is full of retired people and modern yippie(young hip professionals) and eco-friendly folks, they sure love planting all-sorts of vegetation in front of their house. Not only it looks aesthetically pleasing, it makes the neighborhood sort of calming and refreshing to the eye.

Today, I explored the eastern part of the neighborhood where I can find different types of flowers from crape myrtles to Ixora. The most interesting one is definitely the myrtles. It looks beautiful during golden hours and is one of the rare flowers in the area. While Ixora and the ones below are definitely quite abundant.

I remember as a kid, I loved trying to find Ixora’s sweet nectar. To think of it, that was silly but I guess as a kid, it was just something fun to do and the nectar tastes sweet like honey. Since the area feels quite shaded, cats, birds and dogs roam around quite freely and happily.

There are many beautiful cats that their owners aren’t afraid of letting them roam. The worst case scenario is that if any cat goes missing, they have whatsapp group and somebody could find them including the security guards in the place.

When I was living at my own place and at my mom’s, I dreamed about seeing greenery and beautiful flowers daily. Today, I guess I am living that kind of life where everyday my morning is always quite loud. There are birds happily chirping and flowers bloom all-year-round. Today, I even started weeding out my yard and starting a mini gardening project.
