When you love exploring new products and brands, sometimes you're bound to get disappointed. Sometimes, it feels like you're just throwing money away on items that weren't worth it.
Many reviews highlight products when they're first released but rarely show how well they hold up a month or two later. In fact, even within a week of use, you can often get a good sense of a product's durability. This is what more reviews fail to talk about.
Recently, I have been pleasantly surprised by the products made in China. They seem to have really stepped up their game, moving away from their old reputation of producing cheap and easily broken items.
Although I haven't followed much of the progression of how things are made these days, I can safely say that among some brands I've tested, some of them are durable and made to last, just like the mechanical keyboard that I am currently using, a Mizu 63% series from Atom from Fantech, which really impressed me with its quality.
Fantech is an Indonesian company, but its products are manufactured in China. It is a pretty well-recognized brand in Southeast Asia, where many people use its products. Targeting tech enthusiasts and gamers in the lower to middle-end market, it has successfully built a strong brand presence. While it has some competitors, its quality control sets it apart from the rest of the market.
After a month of use, this keyboard has been giving me some of the best typing experience there is. It helps me improve my WPM speed and type faster than the regular keyboard. I have to say that the critical distance was so well thought out that it was easier to type. In fact, when I switched to my laptop's keyboard, I noticed quite a slowdown in my typing speed.
At the same time, unlike the previous keyboard I used to have, the words aren't disappearing. They stick so damn fine that it wasn't a regretful experience buying this piece of keyboard that improves the way I type. Since I spend most of my days typing, it makes a huge difference knowing that I don't have to remember the alphabet on the keyboard.
The keys are also soft and produce sounds pleasing to the ears. Think about typing ASMR tier sound. At the same time, people don't get annoyed when I type on my keyboard, especially when I am on a call learning languages with keyboard typing in the background.
That being said, now I can truly give Fantech my seal of approval. They are durable, affordable, and worth the money.
