Brain Dump | Morning Musings

Are you one of those people that believes weather and temperature affect productivity? Cause I do. I am one of those people who believes temperature can affect the way we think and operate. Living in the so-called jungle parts of Asia, for a lot of people they think it's always sunny down here with 89F throughout the year. That isn't necessarily true, there are coldest region spread throughout the country where they have 60F throughout the year. This means, you can hack the way you move in the tropics when you have the ability to do so.

However, extreme cloudy weather all year isn't great too. You'd crave a beautiful sunny day and this is where hottest part of the region comes to mind. I've been hacking the way I move based on temperature for the last 10 years. I was living in a place when September to February was the coldest and rainy months. Then, I would move to east, where it's sunny and it was just in time when you crave some sun. That's the perk of being nomaden however this is the first time in years that I am staying in the hottest part of the region where october is stil hovering around 103F.

It is almost impossible to live down here and even go to school without any fans or air conditioner. For the most part, with the rising general temperature, most great schools here are equipped with Air conditioner. It is the same with business establishment. You can not think without AC blasted to its lowest temperature.

It's also almost impossible to do anything outside the house with the extreme heat. I don't even want to move around the house. I'd wanna be in my room hiding from the sun and the shade. I would only do things when the sun is out and the night comes. This is honestly not the best way to live 😂 or maybe my whole life is just turning upside down to all these new adjustment.

At the same time, we thought of moving somewhere colder permanently but my parents are still latched on to the comforts they have here. The thing is, my parents are comfortable living here mainly because the good service of the healthcare and they just know their way in here. It is not necessarily the cheapest region to live either and I could never felt so poor in my life 😂 especially when all the people you know think that $10000 is a chump change and nobody complains about their wage - that's when you know you don't live in poor cities in this country.

I used to hear people complain about lower wage and it's not the conversation that is common in this place as much as the place I used to live. The average conversation around here is mostly about how to scale up their business, about the so-so and their relatives/children living in states, europe, or overseas, or how proud they are about their children as they are working in a nice company. I sampled this based on random conversation of strangers, people I interact as well as conversation with the drivers of online transporation. For a decade, the conversation I heard in the other place I lived in was mostly about the monarchs, the wage that is too low, and the monarchy again 🤣. So, it's a little switch up vibe from that kind of environment to the people around here.

Did I make an exit plan? honestly I kinda do. I had my exit plan laid out, the thing is I've only been here full time since July as that was when I eventually shipped everything and move for good. The weather is what annoyed the most since it's a shock to my system experience hotness during these months. I was thinking of just crashing at my family's house in the mountain and meet my grandma. It sounds like a better deal than this hot weather as I can't think about anything else other than finding my way to escape and sleep inside a freezer 😂
