The last time I made an update about this game was almost a month ago. I played as a wood elves and fighter but I found out that I enjoy playing as paladin. So, this new character that I have playing for almost a month is an adventure featuring Elf paladin called Ivory Finch.I was on my journey to the Shadow Cursed Lands and The Moonrise Towers but somehow, I stopped and decided to delete all of my progress.
This time around, I am starting with this character Ivory Finch and have unlocked more places than my previous journey. Now, I am entering the act two and have fought some difficult enemies. But this act 2 is full of even more powerful enemies with more HP and better weapons. So, make sure that the characters that you have are properly equipped with rare weapons, at least.
This was the boat that takes me to the Gyrmforge which is also connected to the Shadow Cursed Lands. In my previous game, I actually went through this but with my character, I decided to pass through the Mountain Pass and doing the Gyrmforge last. I am not sure which one is ideal but for me after doing the Creche thingy and explored a monastery, I got to the last inn a lot easier than in my first game where I started the other way round.
Since this is shadow cursed lands, I would honestly recommend using shadowheart more and has cleric wizard type more than fighters. Paladin works well too because it can cast spells and is equipped with moon beam and some type of light features.
I have not finished the main quests because it's pretty long but I managed to finish the Githyanki Creche and also adding some new quests from the Shadow Cursed Lands. It's honestly quiet advanced for me because it requires different fighting skills and styles.
As of writing this, I have successfully got to the point where I have to rescue bunch of tieflings. It's not really easy and I stopped playing because I need to take some time off to think about the best way approaching that quests.
There's one quest that I have to press F8 because I kept getting failed. It's the quest saving Isobel, a wizard protecting a place called the last inn. She was about to be getting abducted and if we can't rescue her, all the NPC will turn into an enemy and it's getting harder to do.
To trigger this event, talk to a character named Jaheira and then she'll give you a drink. It's up to you to drink but I never drink it. She'll tell you about Isobel and next, you'll find her in her chamber.
This is how isobel looks like. She'll cast a spell that will help you explore the area freely. Without the protection, the area remains deadly and the environment will kill you faster than other NPC and the enemy.
Just before the conversation is finished, a new character enters the game. It's Marcus, who is now the follower of the Absolut. This quest will require you to kill him or let Isobel be taken away at the cost of the people in the inn turning into the enemy and needs to be killed.
The fight is pretty nasty because he also brings some type of flying hell creature that will attempt to kill you. Make sure that isobel isn't dying too by constantly healing her as well as making sure that you can kill marcus. The first time I did it, I managed to kill Marcus but guess what? the game crashed 馃槀 then I tried doing it again but failed. Until the 7th time, I did it right and saved it.
If during Act one everything is almost easy peasy, this time around, there is a little autosave and the best way to do it is saving it yourself. Otherwise, you find yourself repeating a huge chunk of the game just because you forget to save like what I did. The game also crashed on me and it's why now I save it more than I should to avoid something like that happen and having to restart everything from a long part of the game because sometimes the conversation with the NPC can be quite long and exhausting.
When I first played, I didn't know that many areas and only explored a little part that are necessary. The second time playing, I found even a place where there are witches and ugly looking creatures. So, sometimes take your time to explore the place but also stay on the main quest. I also recognize that the best way to organize the game is through the areas rather than the quests. Since in an area there are also many side quests worth checking out and exploring that supports the main quest.
As for the rest, just have fun playing it!
