Apologizing might make a lot of sense because apologizing doesn't mean weakness it means being honest and taking responsibility when you make a mistake and really want to fix it, although apologizing over and over again without changing anything doesn't do much good and I see that all the time, what really matters is trying to improve. Many people skip the part where you actually take responsibility and just try to move on but that never works. When someone puts their ego aside and just tries to fix things it's easier for everyone and you don't get stuck in that uncomfortable situation. I think the part about apologizing helping you grow and improve relationships is true because being honest about your mistakes is what can really help you build good relationships and get you somewhere with people.
