You really hit the nail on the head when it comes to time management, something I struggle with every day, this sound more realistic steps instead of just saying you have to do it better, the comparison with the roundabout really made me think, because I always feel like I'm running around in circles, doing lots of things but not getting anywhere. I can relate to that lack of clarity and how it affects my productivity, similar to how they call it today "procrastinating". I started a while ago a similar night list and it has really changed the way I work when I get up in the morning with a more structure day to work with, now I don't waste time deciding where to start. Breaking large tasks down into smaller parts helps me avoid frustration and procrastination, everyone is different, some people like apps to keep track of tasks, but I still use a notebook and pen because tech sometimes distracts me more than it helps me. I often go to look at my to do list and end up watching videos because someone sent me something and so on, if Im on my phone or laptop. The important thing is to find what works for you to stay disciplined I've been trying these ideas for a few weeks and I still slip up sometimes, but I think I'm improving.
