Of course, the other NATO countries are not going to attack another ally, especially one with huge military. It is like shooting yourself in the foot and letting the actual threats sneak up on you from the behind. US does not feel that way though because of their sheer size and military strength. They are not concerned someone will turn around and be like - now is my chance to cripple them! It is pretty sad to understand how little their current government care about being a force for good in the fragile world, they become bullies themselves.

I also think that it would have to go pretty badly for them to be thrown out of the global trade. Because why would the allies cripple the economy and thus everything else down the line of one of the more military capable allies? Maybe Greenland (if they take it there) will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I guess we will see what happens.
