Sounds like Baldur's gate is quite captivating game. I am still to play it. When I will have time for games again. I am currently fully lost in the creative world instead.

I get what you say about the mix of reality and fantasy worlds. Perhaps, it is a coping mechanism or we all would be too depressed with the real all the time. Maybe that is why I am such a nerd. I need the escape. I need the wonder and the different perspective. Otherwise it is hard to see the light.
