I know I will struggle when the time comes to say goodbye to my kitty. At first I was a bit scared to allow the formation of the bond between us. But no matter the pain down the road, she is just the best creature on the planet for me and deserves every bit of love I can provide.

In future I want to have a dog but same as for you, some traveling would be great before adding one to my family.
