Makes me think of the solo hike I completed two years ago of Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland. My twenty-ish minutes at the top were funny since the fog showed up once I reached the top, and I could see only the rocky cairn, but nothing beyond it -
So imagine if that was all that mattered? Pretty sad, right? But no, you are right! It is all about the journey, about the adventure and the little things along the way :) I wouldn't trade the journey for anything!
