The Rafflesia blossoms with all the biggest, largest and even the stinky flower in the world.
Rafflesia has a total of 28 species only found in South East Asia. Out of the 28 species, 10 are found in the Philippines!
The Rafflesia has become the most celebrated flower in Antique Province.

In addition to its very short life span, Rafflesia has also been deemed endangered due to rampant conversion of its lowland forest habitat into farm lands. Unlike in the Philippines where Rafflesia is rarely known, other Southeast Asian countries have turned this giant parasitic flower into a tourist attraction.

How to Get There
From Manila, you can fly to Iloilo (estimated cost of PhP3,000, round trip, one hour). You can also opt for a bus trip (estimated cost of PhP875 per head, air-conditioned bus and boat fare, 17 hours plus).
Antique is accessible from major cities of the country through Iloilo City, from where buses leave for San Jose, the province's capital town. Travel time is approximately two hours.
