"*Phoenix & Momzilla" is a 16" x 20" acrylic artwork on canvas that I did for my son, sometime last summer. We all know children love dragons and their adventures!
I had so much fun drawing and painting these two dragons. Especially when my son started to create an entire story about them! This artwork was inspired by his story and it is currently hanging on one of the walls in his room.
I wish I could have taken notes while he was narrating it. In a nutshell, it had all the proper ingredients for a terrific bedtime story: structure, unusual characters, plot (crisis), escalation of danger, temptations and a moral! With the risk of being bias, I 'd say I know grown ups that can't come up with a such a creative bedtime story.
There is always something magical about kids and their imagination. They lack the boundaries set by our society. Their innocence makes it easy for them to bend the rules of reality and dive into their fantasy world.
Keeping in touch with our inner child is something we should all consider if we want to explore our creativity or simply enjoy life! Thus, don't take yourselves too seriously! Remember to have fun, just like a child!
