Do you feel overwhelmed by the barrage of information in the Information Age?

We receive news via FB, our friends - we watch documentaries on Netflix and YouTube. Information is plentiful. Clear and concise thinking is not.

With the abundance of knowledge available to us, you may feel as I do at times that an opportunity to process is necessary.

Meditation is incredibly useful for pausing and reflecting on thoughts and emotions. I am grateful for meditation in that regard. However, few things seem to align my thoughts and emotions into shareable words like writing.

Without writing, my mind tends to walk off into fantasy world without a contextual piece to ground the ideas. With writing, a tangible and moldable idea emerges for others to process with me.

I think the social element of writing is what most excites me. Before putting our ideas on paper, they are wisps. When we share thoughts and emotions through words, an opportunity for change emerges.

Yes, there is a process through which we heal with our words and there is a process where we explode with our words. In either context, balance is happening.

As someone who chose to live in his head for many years, I promise you that writing is a gift. The opportunity to know your genetic makeup and express your unique gifts is immeasurable.

As Hemingway said, “writing is easy - you open up a vein and bleed.”

I encourage you to find your words. There is sure to be someone who will connect with you. The problem you are wrestling over is closer to a solution stage when you write and others can find your spirit.
