No soy una persona que le guste salir mucho de noche, pero me agrada cuando se trata de festivales que ofrecen opciones diversas. El a帽o pasado y este tambi茅n... asist铆 por segunda vez al Nocturneando, un evento realizado en el municipio Chacao en el estado Miranda, ubicado en el 谩rea metropolitana de Caracas, capital de Venezuela.
La aventura esta vez fue junto a mi esposo, nos encontramos con algunas amistades y personas del trabajo, pero generalmente nos dedicamos a caminar y observar las exposiciones art铆sticas, las opciones gastron贸micas y la m煤sica para animar el ambiente. Esto es posible porque son tomadas las principales calles de ese municipio, y participa la comunidad, emprendimientos, comercios, artistas y muchas marcas patrocinantes que hacen presencia.
Al llegar no hab铆an tantas personas, pero luego no se pod铆a caminar por la cantidad de personas transitanto por todas partes. La forma de ubicarnos fue a trav茅s de esta programaci贸n gigante que nos ayudaba a elergir lo qu茅 ser铆a la siguiente estaci贸n para visitar.

I'm not someone who likes to go out much at night, but I do enjoy festivals that offer a variety of options. Last year and this year too... I attended Nocturneando for the second time, an event held in the municipality of Chacao in Miranda state, located in the metropolitan area of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
This time, I went with my husband, and we met up with some friends and coworkers, but we mostly just walked around and checked out the art exhibits, food options, and music to liven up the atmosphere. This is possible because the main streets of that municipality are taken over, and the community, businesses, artists, and many sponsoring brands participate.
When we arrived, there weren't that many people, but later it was impossible to walk because of the number of people passing by everywhere. We found our way around using this giant program that helped us choose which station to visit next.
Desde que llegamos nos gust贸 la tarima de pop-rock (seg煤n comprend铆 hab铆an al menos unas 5 tarimas ofreciendo varios g茅neros musicales). Justo en esta se estaba presentando una banda llamada Poker... son excelentes, cantaron temas retro, nada m谩s y nada menos que Met谩lica, Queen y otras m谩s. Esto lo disfrutamos mucho.
Luego hicimos el respectivo recorrido en las calles dispuestas para el entrentenimiento de las personas. De las cosas que m谩s nos encant贸 es que tuvo una visi贸n bastante multicultural, como cuando nos encontramos en un restaurante mexicano este altar en homenaje al D铆a de los Muertos.
From the moment we arrived, we liked the pop-rock stage (as I understood it, there were at least five stages offering various musical genres). A band called Poke was performing on this stage... they are excellent, singing retro songs by none other than Metallica, Queen, and others. We enjoyed this very much.
Then we took a tour of the streets set up for people's entertainment. One of the things we loved most was that it had a very multicultural vibe, like when we found this altar in a Mexican restaurant in honor of the Day of the Dead.
Me encant贸 las exposiciones de artistas urbanos, orfebres, artistas pl谩sticos, entre otras personas creativas que le dieron ese toque interesante a la actividad. Me gustaron las estatuas vivientes, entre otras cosas que no le tom茅 foto porque me dediqu茅 a contemplar.
I loved the exhibitions by urban artists, goldsmiths, visual artists, and other creative people who added an interesting touch to the event. I liked the living statues, among other things that I didn't take pictures of because I was too busy contemplating them.
Por doquier hab铆an actividades: karaokes, pinta caritas, bailes, batallas de hip hop, stand comedy, obras de teatro, comidas y dulces. Vimos muchas opciones de comida y yo estaba antojada de unos pastelitos de los andes venezolanos, acompa帽ados con papel贸n con lim贸n (bebida venezolana del jugo de la ca帽a de az煤car) estaba todo riquisimo. Para mi las opciones sin carnes en la calle son limitadas, pero siempre encuentro algo rico y adem谩s tuvimos una linda compa帽铆a con una pareja de personas mayores que son comerciantes de la zona y conversamos un rato.
There were activities everywhere: karaoke, face painting, dancing, hip hop battles, stand-up comedy, plays, food, and sweets. We saw many food options, and I was craving some Venezuelan Andean pastries accompanied by papel贸n con lim贸n (a Venezuelan drink made from sugarcane juice). Everything was delicious. For me, meat-free options on the street are limited, but I always find something tasty, and we also had nice company with an elderly couple who are merchants in the area, and we chatted for a while.
Vimos una cami贸n para gamers que estaba genial, as铆 como un Dj en una camioneta vans, estuvimos un rato alli observando. Me encant贸 otra propuesta visual de varios pisos, colores y m煤sica reggae.
We saw a truck for gamers that was really cool, as well as a DJ in a van. We spent some time there watching. I loved another visual display with several floors, colors, and reggae music.
Honestamente, caminamos mucho y hubo un punto que sentimos cansancio y nos quedamos en la tarima donde todo el recorrido comenz贸. All铆 se presentar铆a Criollo House, mientras comenzaba el show, ambientaron con muchas canciones, as铆 que cantamos y bailamos, fue bastante divertido. Luego comenz贸 el turno de Criollo House, nunca los hab铆a visto en una presentaci贸n, estuvo bastante interesante la puesta en escena, muy enfocado en valorar la venezolanidad, fue bastante contagiante la energ铆a. Un 10/10.
Nos decidimos quedar en 谩reas m谩s tranquilas, porque por ejemplo estaba la tarimas principal, pero hab铆an muchas personas.
Honestly, we walked a lot and at one point we felt tired and stayed on the stage where the whole tour began. Criollo House was going to perform there, and as the show began, they set the mood with lots of songs, so we sang and danced. It was quite fun. Then it was Criollo House's turn. I had never seen them perform before. The staging was quite interesting, very focused on celebrating Venezuelan culture. The energy was quite contagious. A 10/10.
We decided to stay in quieter areas because, for example, there was the main stage, but there were too many people there.
Luego nos regresamos temprano a casa, porque tuvimos adem谩s un d铆a de mucho trabajo y nos dol铆an mucho los pies. Pero honestamente, conclu铆 que en Venezuela tenemos muchas cosas por hacer para reinventarnos, afrontar cada desaf铆o y encarar la vida con resiliencia, amor, alegr铆a. Aqu铆 el tema es que no tenemos tiempo para odiar a nadie, valoramos esos espacios donde coinciden personas de muchas creencias, posturas, ideas y podemos convivir sanamente.
Algo que valoro de la capital, es que siempre hay opciones, movilidad, me gusta que los espacios son aprovechados por la ciudadan铆a, eso incluye plazas, paseos, parques, conciertos.
La ciudad es un caos y se trabaja mucho, pero siempre hay maneras de encontrar el equilibrio, cultivar y mantener la propia paz.
驴C贸mo disfruas el lugar donde vives?.
Then we went home early, because we also had a busy day at work and our feet were already hurting a lot. But honestly, I concluded that in Venezuela we have a lot to do to reinvent ourselves, face each challenge, and approach life with resilience, love, and joy. The thing is, we don't have time to hate anyone here. We value spaces where people of many beliefs, positions, and ideas come together and can coexist healthily.
Something I appreciate about the capital is that there are always options and mobility. I like that citizens take advantage of spaces, including squares, promenades, parks, and concerts.
The city is chaotic, people work hard, but there are always ways to find balance, cultivate, and maintain one's own peace.
