Got my baby Sulcata a new friend. Haven't name it yet. It = not sure what its gender is. So it will be a variable for the time being. I got my Sulcata a red foot tortoise as a friend. Red Foot tortoises originate from the jungles of South America and are well suited to the Malaysian tropical climate. Sulcata tortoises are desert tortoises.
Anyways, I've had my Sulcata since September 1st 2021. Growing quite healthily. 93 grams at the moment from 49 grams in December.

I usually don't buy luxurious stuff and I would buy a tortoise instead, if your asking why? I love to have pets. My dream come true. I would rather buy an Aldabra than a Rolex. An Aldabra cost MYR 8000 / USD 1826 for a baby.
The little one
Red limbs. Yellow coloured head. Cute, isn't it? Compared to the Sulcata, the red foot's shell is flatter.
At the seller's house
I got the seller to send over some pictures of Red Foot tortoise. Its eyes are purely black with no whites at all. The shell will slowly grow black as it grows older. Red Foots are easier to take care as compared to the Sulcata.
Just make sure that it gets enough food, enough water and have enough sunlight and that's it.
Busy eating Mulberry leaves
With a new friend, my Sulcata becomes more competitive in eating. It usually eats alot but with a new friend, it eats even more. Baby red foot is currently around 3-4 months old. 2.5 inches. 52 grams. My baby Sulcata is currently around close to 1 year old. 2.8 inches. 93 grams.

The separation on its shell is increasing showing its growth. It's growing quite well at the moment. Many Malaysian households that have tortoises in their house would have different types of tortoises.
Tortoises are really cute. Sulcata poops a lot. Today, It pooped four huge ones that were the length of at least half of its shell. I kept looking at it and imagine to myself how can that poop actually come out of that body.
Still monitoring their friendship. Sulcata did take a slight chomp on the shell of the Red Foot but I will slowly get them to be friends. The Red foot is quite friendly.
All two friends. One day, the Sulcata is going to outgrow the Red foot by a lot. Matured red foots usually grow to about 30 cm. My friend has one that is 10 years old.
