After an enjoyable night at Central Festival mall and after a delicious meal, it was time to head back to the hotel for some rest. It had been a long long day. We had been there for a whole day. Eaten some raw octopus, salmon and a whole lot of shopping. Do read the prior post.

HATYAI

Such a huge iconic display here. So colourful.

Central Festival Mall

This is indeed a mall that you have to visit if you do visit Hatyai in the future. You can spend hours here. I did not buy anything here because most of the things here are slightly more expensive than in Malaysia. Our hotel was opposite of this building but we were out of energy and did not feel like walking back so we hired a car.

While I waited, I took some pictures of the building. This building looks so beautiful. Amazing architecture.

The waiting area

This is where we waited. After a while , our car came, brought us home. The next day, it was quite special. We had a car to drive for the next two days. For the two days I rented the car, it cost around 2000 Thai Baht. I had to also make sure that the petrol was fully pumped too. It was quite expensive. So we went back and had a great night of sleep. We hadn't slept enough.

The next morning 13.1.2023 (Friday)

Second day in Hatyai. Had a good sleep. A long day awaited me. I was excited as well as anxious. I've never driven a car in Thailand before. The driving here was not the same as it was back in Malaysia.

The morning view.

Felt relaxed. So the first thing was to check my list to find out which areas I was to visit on this day.

The list

On the list and the main attraction, Songkhla zoo. Songkhla is around a half hour drive from Hatyai. The car I rented had a Thai registration plate so it won't go noticed on the road. The car was tinted too.

A shrine

I am not sure if that's the correct word for this. Throughout Thailand, shrines like this can be found. Even in banks.

The view of the surrounding near the hotel where I stayed.

Looks very Japanese. So I was out for breakfast at a nearby stall. Got a car out. So do stay tuned for the trip to Songkhla zoo. This is one of those places that the local guides won't bring you to because it is huge.

Have a great day. I hope that you enjoy reading this post. I've been super duper busy. So I may take a while to reply or read your post. I used to spend a lot of time reading post but have been so busy nowadays with my educational centre.
