echo speaker, continues to play music, so called smart-home, and digital-assistant abilities. It’s first a wireless speaker, but capable of much more. You can use your voice to control it.
In my opinion it's basically like Apple's Siri but an Android version.
Creepy laugh
It is currently one of the best selling voice assistants. But it has some conspiracy theories and some weird things about it.
And the newest one is the creepy laugh.

So Alexa shuts down when asked "Alexa are you connected to the CIA" and there is another link what alexa answers.
