I'm now waiting for the Pi to arrive so I can set it up and make a post on how you can do the same. I won't be starting Amazon Wish List up again until it arrives. I'll power up what I had saved in order to help others out.
What is required to build the final machine:
- 1x Raspberry Pi 3 Model B - $36.90 (Its very important that you get the model B and not the other ones, because the Model B is the only one with multiple USB ports)
- 1x Raspberry Pi 3 Case - $7
- 1x Raspberry Pi 3 Charger - $10
- 1x micro sd card. 32 gb is recommended (price not listed because it can vary on capacity you get.)
- Keyboard and Mouse(Not linked or priced because it can vary, and you might have some already)
- 1x Gamepad - $16. You can pick your own for this, you don't have to go with this exact one. Xbox One(and 360)/PS4(and 3) controllers will work too.
Almost everything can be purchased as a bundle on amazon costing about $70 except for the keyboard, mouse and controller. I say its better to buy the items individually, but you do the math, the bundle might be cheaper for you.
