Black and white to green.jpg

Late autumn, reminds me that winter is coming. A desolate time where leaves have started to dance away from the trees, in their typical fashion. Spookiness is all around, seems as though something changes this time of year- an abstract, nuanced feeling of uneasiness but acceptance. The reds, yellows, and browns remind us that we must appreciate all sorts of different color in our life. There is a deeper meaning to this as well, that you must accept that life won't always be sunshine and summer. Appreciation for the darker days is a necessity.

Harsh winter's eve, snow slightly covers the ground, the bone-chilling air piercing through the heaviest of coats, & you're left hoping for summer, yet at the same time, something about the cold warms your spirits, like a warm fireplace in the dead of winter. No amount of words or placement of sentences can explain experiencing a snowstorm- where all sound is reduced to nothing, bouncing off the echo chamber of white. In the evening during a blizzard, while snug at your home, there is almost nothing on Earth more peaceful.

Ahh the refreshing cool winds of Spring, bringing hope, rejuvenation, and inspiration from the changing of the seasons. Reminds you how quickly a 180 degree turn can happen. From leaves falling, to leaves dead, to buds being ready to sprout into leaves once again. If you look close enough, you can almost see the warmer weather returning to the sky. Still retains a modest amount of the winter's unforgiving frost, and yet the warm sunshine is closer than you think. Good times ahead and yet you start to question why you needed the summer for good times- they can be had in all 4 seasons.

Summertime, everything is in full bloom, leaves return. Green equates to positive vibes and positive growth, similar to the markets. The ultimate dream is living near the ocean or a lake, grilling up food while gazing out into the water's allure, something about it that is almost unreal. The summer is a time for happiness, for parties, for friendship, for new acquaintances to be made, while old friendship's can be rekindled. Unreal. The nostalgia is unrivaled for the summer. When you think back to some of your favorite times, what season would they have been in?
