For the anniversary of our beautiful relationship, I decided to take my sweetheart on a romantic trip. I chose Venice and never regretted it.
It is a beautiful city and full of love. I'm glad I went there with my loved one.
We were very surprised by the beauty of the city and the historical heritages. Venice is a completely different and special city. It is amazing how the city is on the water and practically floats on the water. The city is full of beautiful sights and historic buildings. I will write and put some pictures of a few things that impressed us the most and persuade other people to choose a trip to Venice.
ST. MARK'S SQUARE
Venice has a very large and beautiful square, St. Mark's Square. The square is surrounded by historic buildings on all sides. Our guide guy told us that the whole square is flooded during the raising of the sea level, so the local people are not worried about that and they are ready for it.
ST. MARK'S BASILICA
On St. Mark's Square is also located the Basilica of St. Mark. Beautiful building, special architecture and style. Something very nice and useful to see. There is also a museum in the basilica, so you can see interesting details and objects from the past of the city. It is one huge basilica, full of beautiful details, decorations and mosaics. We noticed that they did not save during the construction of that building.
GONDOLA
Venice is very famous for their gondolas. In the past, the gondola was the main means of transportations and trades in that city.
We have seen that even today the local peoples still travel by the gondolas.
What interests me most is how a city without cars looks like, I could say that what I saw is really cool and peaceful. These gondolas just somehow gives some spirit to the city. We were fascinated with such a spirit and story of the city, it really has own charm.
SMALL BRIDGES
My darling and I were especially intrigued by the little bridges more than anything. Water flows through the whole city through the canals, a small bridges are intended for crossing over the canals. These little bridges give a special atmosphere as you walk through the city. It’s just one of the many sympathetic experiences that the city offers.
ISLAND OF BURANO
In our adventure in and around Venice, we also visited 3 beautiful islands. Each island is special in its own way, but we were fell in love with one island. It is the Burano island. This island is simply beautiful, all the houses and buildings are colorful. The whole island looks like a rainbow. I could never have imagined such a colorful and warmthy town in my head. This colorfulness of the city brings some peace and joy to all people's hearts. All the local peoples are so kind and approachable, there is a very special atmosphere on the island.
We also had the opportunity to watch how the master make souvenirs from glass, he melts the glass and makes all shapes what he want.
