Now, I appreciate more than most how this says "Governance" instead of "Government." I've been working with eosDAC for years trying to build better, decentralized governance systems using blockchain technology through DACs and DAOs. I've been pursuing solutions for our global financial disaster for some time now and gave this presentation back in 2013 about bitcoin being more disruptive than the Internet because it will change the fundamentals of how we think about money and value along with how we think about the need for government:
Government = monopoly on the initiation of force in a geographic region
Governance = a system for determining how humans will interact with each other, create rules, enforce rules, change rules, etc
On one hand, reading this article from the world economic forum (and apparently there's a whole category for The Great Reset) has me very concerned about a 1984-style New World Order global government that will make slaves of us all. On the other hand, I realize things are (and have been for some time) seriously, seriously broken. As mentioned in the presentation, the 1913 Federal Reserve Act, the 1944 Bretton Woods agreement, the Nixon Shock of 1971, and add to that the 2008/2009 financial crisis which pealed back the veneer to show people what's really going on and how screwed up this whole system is.
Regardless of how you feel about a reset, it is going to happen. It is inevitable.
The question we have to ask ourselves is who will be in control? How will equality be determined and how will this system of governance be created and maintained? Will it be centralized or decentralized?
Will these systems be controlled by math, physics, and code as blockchains are or by violent psychopaths who have a history of wars and democide?
It seems to me the global response to Covid-19, regardless of how you feel about it, did irrefutably demonstrate how the world can, for the most part, come together and act as one. The challenge we face is we are, for the most part, still acting as brainwashed citizens of waring nation states who use us for human farming. If you haven't figured that out yet, please learn about the story of your enslavement.
We could instead act as a human species on planet earth and drop our nationalistic and often racially prejudiced biases. Now I'll be the first to tell you how tribalism is our shared enemy, but I do think we can still be part of tribes and communities which preserve our unique culture, values, and norms without falling into the trap of tribalism. We can live and let live while coordinating with others who feel the same. We could do this on a global level if we commit to doing on a local level, but everywhere.

Time may be running out to get these systems up and running and installed on the local level to bring about decentralized governance options, but now may be the time to do it. Clearly those on the international level already have plans for their solution to a Great Reset.
