Way of the Cross
Hello Hive!
today i made an interesting trip on top of a dump from a colliery in Bottrop/Germany in the middle of the Ruhr area which where knowen for their many collierys. This colliery was the last one which were closed on 21st December 2018. The name was Prosper Haniel.
This dump is 159m high. At this dump is a special way for pilgrims which names "Way of the Cross". On good Friday on easter every year there is a church service where Christians walk this way in remembering of the torture which Jesus had on his way on top of the mountian where he get hanged on the cross.
At this way there are 15 stations which tells the story of Jesus way to his crucifixion.
I found just some of those stations. Later on there will be some pictures.
Some other things you can find there are some work arts like a theatre where in summer some performancesare showen.
