Hello,

Interesting poem! The end scene of the poem is evidently foreshadowed in the opening line with the usage of the word 'cloudy', but then the swift shift of scenes really oscillates the mood, which continues throughout the poem.

Both the hook and the worms can be seen as burdens the fisherman carried with him whilst trying to fulfil his childhood wish. These were the tools which, in spite of the boat being the dream that kept him afloat, brought great terror to him, which in the end killed him.

There is immense potential here for a splendid poem. With a bit more work on the flow of the poem as a whole, you could be putting out masterpieces in no time.

I have recently created a new community for poets on here - Poets of Hive.
It would be great if you checked out the introductory post and joined if you are interested.
Keep up the good work!

Luka.
