outside

united with sorrow, i gaze at the tears -
does existence weep in solitude?
if i am you and you are me,
who cries themself to sleep at night?
the cyclic nature of time
traps us - its grasp chokes us
till we're drenched of all
that makes us human.
eyes are the windows to the soul they say,
perhaps that explains the rain -
a facade which is a distortion of love.

First of all, I must say you got me! At fist glance I did think that what you wrote beneath the photograph is a poem - Very witty!

I once came up with this quote - You don't have to write poetry to be a poet - and I don't think there was ever as much relevance to it than now. Your ability to tell a story through photography shone a light onto this idea of mine and truly emphasise the fact that poetry is more than just words, and there is truly poetry in your work. There is strength in numbers, as Bruce Gilden once said, and this is evident in your case. I had a look at your collaboration with raj808@raj808 and found it amazing! One photograph alone is a novel onto itself, yet a series of images creates a library - a visual snapshot of your boundless mind.

I felt immensely inspired to take on your challenge and add a few words of mine to your photo, and I shared it above. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

If you liked what I wrote and are interested in reading more of my poetry, I invite you over to my vast gallery of art on my page.

Thank you for sharing your art with us all! It was a pleasure to stop by!

Luka.
