Normal - what is normal?

David Icke put it nicely;

'Normal is simply what we normally (usually) experience.'

To a child born into a poor family, poverty and hustle is normal.
To somebody who grew up around riches, exclusiveness and luxury is normal.

The norm - an idea conceptualised into something that is imposed on us by society - is, in my eyes, just another belief system out there. Just like we choose to experience life through the lens of a creed we feel most in tune with, we choose if we want to go down the path of 'the norm'; the systematically laid out path of life - school, college, marriage, debt, death.

We do not have to subscribe to such beliefs though; we can choose to go down the path of spontaneous freedom, whilst keeping in mind that people who are ignorant to the imprisonment of their mind are not to blame. I touch on this topic in my Freedom Friday post.

Lack of judgement and separation when we speak to or on these people is vital, as talking down on people who are under such illusions does nothing but create a barrier between us and them.

'Better to build a bridge, than instead of to build a wall' - A wise lyric from Skip & Damian Marley's new song, That's Not True.

Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed reading this; your way of thinking is super interesting; you seem really alive!

Namaste!
