Hello, community of musicians and music lovers. We are still on the wave of retro music and this week 6 I am participating with the song "Mi Sueño" (My Dream) performed by Willie Colón on his album "Fantasmas" (Ghosts) from 1981. The author of this song is the Brazilian singer, composer and writer
Martinho Dávila.
In that decade of the '80s I didn't even think about being born, but they tell me that here in Venezuela the album "Fantasmas" (Ghosts) played and was danced at all parties. At that time, parties were for dancing, not for sitting down and chatting on mobile phones, which were non-existent at the time.
I had to make some modifications - you'll notice - to the melody, because my accordion doesn't have semitones and, playing in A minor, from time to time a G# appeared there that I couldn't play. But removing this I tried - from my inexperience - to respect the essence of this melody. I must admit that I did not know that song and I was fascinated by its enigmatic lyrics, its pleasant melody and the unique voice of Willie Colón, an extraordinary American singer, composer and musician from Puerto Rican origin.
I invite to participate in this contest my friends @yusmi,
@hermaryrc and
@lecumberre.

Lyrics
I want to hide baby under your skirt to flee the world
I also intend to soften the tangle of your hair
Give a blood transfusion to this heart that is so vagabond
But I stop making my dengos and light candles for my birds
But I leave my hallucination of doing work for my affections
You want to be exorcised by holy water from my gaze
How good it is to be photographed more by the retinas of your beautiful eyes
You let me hypnotize you and end your agony once in a while
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
I want to be pacified by the brandy of your deep love
How good it is to be photographed more by the retinas of your beautiful eyes
Deleting the word sorrow in the dictionary of my life
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
Killing with a smile from your lips my melancholy
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
Your mouth says that you don't want to, but your eyes tell lies
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
But I stop doing my dengos lighting candles for my litanies
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
It's that I want to hypnotize you with the notes of my melodies
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
Oh pretty girl tell me yes and your sentence would end
And come to cure your black man who arrived drunk from Bohemia (chorus) (bis)
