On Wednesday, the company said that in addition to its bitcoin tracking tool, MarketWatch will display information for Ether, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ether Classic, Monero, Dash and Zcash. The website has been tracking the price of the first cryptoactive since 2014.

The new service will post real-time quotes for both the US dollar. UU as for the euro, as well as the historical price trends for the nine cryptoactives, using data from the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange.

"There is no doubt that our readers, as the smartest investors in the world, are watching the digital currency and we are pleased to expand our real-time tracking of a total of 9 cryptocurrencies in both euros and USD, with the help of Kraken "Said Shar, general manager of MarketWatch.

The Dow Jones Media Group has moved to test Blockchain in recent days, which perhaps indicates a broader interest in technology within the company beyond its MarketWatch offerings.

Dow Jones said last week that it is working with Brave, the privacy-oriented web browser developer, to test its blockchain platform.

The two firms will test content delivery using Brave's blockchain-based platform for digital advertising, and Dow Jones Media Group's Barron's and MarketWatch subsidiaries will become "verified publishers," as previously reported.
