Jakarta, the Indonesian Capital City has been really in a big problem lately. It has always been prone to flood each year because of it geographical location.
It also facing land surface decline, which is cause by the excessive use of fresh underground water. And not just that another threat also coming from the sea, as now more and more coastal area in Jakarta lies below sea surface which make the vulnerable to tidal wave.

If you happen to come to Jakarta, you might also notice another big problem it has which is traffic jam. As the center of the government area and also the economic area it should really have a better transportation system, but yet struggling to just have a smooth traffic.
Jakarta which then was called Batavia was the capital city of VOC when Indonesia is still under Netherlands occupations. It really has a great numbers of history in the city, but since those problem seems to have no solutions, then maybe its time to find another place and starts a new Capital City.
Finally after a long meeting the House of Representatives finally agreed and pass the bill of moving the capital city of Jakarta in Java island into a new city called Nusantara in the Borneo Island.
The Idea of moving the capital city actually is not new, it was pioneered by the first president of Indonesia Sukarno, but it can only be approve and will finally executed now under the Joko Widodo Presidency.
Mr Joko Widodo the ruling President
Moving the capital city is not a small thing to do, it needs careful planning and great execution so that the new city can give a better representation toward the whole Indonesia.
Since it is a new city almost build from the scratch, I hope that there won't be anymore endless traffic jams, there would be better transportation system, and whats better is that there would no more constant flooding in each rainy season.
so Nusantara here we come, lets make a better image of the whole country and lets use it to unite the country even better.
