Recently, I was very disturbed and threatened and the existence of a scam called phishing scam messages. Last night our friend, ijoel@ijoel experienced misfortune after he opened or clicked a phishing message. After he clicks the phishing message he cannot log in again to his steemit account. Within seconds the password or WIF of steemit account of ijoel@ijoel is updated by hackers.

The misfortune made a bad reputation in the eyes of the people. Last 04.00 pm I contacted him, he said his account has been reinstated, but he still can not use his account because his account continues to get the flag from @ mack-bot. He said only one can remove it from the @ mack-bot blacklist, she is patrice@patrice. Hopefully, patrice@patrice deletes ijoel@ijoel from the blacklist as soon as possible. And I hope no more scam victims like this

From what happened to ijoel@ijoel, I want to discuss about what is "phishing scam"?

Phishing Scam

Phishing is short for Password Harvesting Phishing which is an action for fishing with the aim to collect or take password of others. Phishing is an acronym for Password Harvesting Phishing which is an action for fishing with the aim of collecting or retrieving someone else's password. [Source]

It's one form of fraud committed by hackers through phishing. Such scams are usually for obtaining sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers and others or directing people from certain platform users to download fake files. And it may be to destroy certain media. [Source]

Based on the misfortune experienced by ijoel@ijoel, I ask all steemit users to be extra careful. You must recognize phishing scam messages. If not, then you will lose your password or WIF steemit account. And even you will lose the funds you are investing here, #steemit.

You are not pissed off with a message saying that the plagiarism action that is hacked by the hacker on your post in steemit.

When you receive a message in the comment field of your post, you do not immediately click on the active link included in the comment. Get to know the message first.

In my judgment, phishing scams are a threat to us as users steemit, and investors who do investment, or who will invest in this platorm.

If users and investors are no longer safe here, then this will have implications for the future destruction of users and steemit itself.

In addition, the phishing scams will result in many casualties, if the problem is not overcome and looking for a solution with immediately.

Note: Don't so believe with phishing scams

Once I confirm that: ijoel@ijoel account has been restored and is currently controlled by its rightful owner.

And we really hope, patrice@patrice can help remove ijoel@ijoel from the blacklist.

Comment or phishing scam message is a threat to us, so be careful and extra careful
