led is great, especially cuz it produces the perfect wavelengths and spectrum for the plants. it also isn't wasting so much energy, especially when you don't use them on 100%, 70% is mostly the most efficient

they are also cheap when you build them by yourself, samsung has an awesome led chip and the chinese build and sell them in masses for peanuts :)

also I didnt found time to build one myself yet.. don't even find time for an (indoor) garden..
