Corporate employee? All in all, you're just another brick in the wall..
I wrote about the 'egg crisis'here, a couple of days ago.
It seems that the 'big supermarket chains' may have been buying up stocks in advance, for the upcoming perceived shortages.
Then something happened. We have eggs again.
'What happened?' I hear you ask.
Well, I'll tell you, shall I?
All the local egg producers, knowing that local people were going without eggs stopped selling to the big chains, and instead, serviced the local populations. (plus making more profit for themselves at the same time.
Perfect for everyone - except for the corporations - but who really gives a flying fuck about faceless entities?
Loyalty matters. Tribes matter. Especially in times of 'crisis'.
I can't think of anyone that's loyal to a corporation (except for some government supporting idiots sheep NPC's).
In the big urban sprawls of the west, it's gonna be interesting to see how they cope with things - as genuine, closely knit tribes are non existent in metropolis.
Here it is very different. People do look out for others.
For example, (non crisis related).
...I've had probably 6 or 7 punctures while out riding my bike (motorbike).
(full disclosure - and around 3 times running out of petrol. Doh).
Every single time these hiccups happened, I have - not once - had to walk all the way to a gas station, or repair shop, to get my bike fixed.
Every single time, someone has stopped to siphon some gas out of their tank,or picked up the bike and thrown it in the back of their truck, and have even took the wheel off where I was stopped,and then taken me to the tire repair shop, with it.
The repair shop have then taken me back, to fit the wheel back on the bike..
This is normal behavior here, and not the anomaly.
And when a crisis hits? Fuck the corporate non entities,and look after your own.
Would you sacrifice your own resources to help out an 'internet friend' if that act meant you going without, in a very real life, tangible way?
The reason I ask this question is more to do with Hive(or steem), or any 'online community'.
Is it just virtue signalling sycophancy, blowing 'feel good farts' up the ass of people who also like to hear sycophancy?
Or is it real?
My #newhivepardigm is real. (why the fuck are more people not getting on board with this? Spread the word , increase the profits for everyone. More interaction with me, gives massive rewards back at no cost to anyone. Up votes cost nothing.Seems like common sense to me. A win win. Everyone profits).
But here's the thing with the #newhiveparadigm. I don't give out my resources to users. I give out 50% of the profits, of my endevours (trading).
I take the risk with my own assets, and that's not the same at all.
I'm prepared to risk my own assets to profit myself.
In profiting myself, others profit also.
(5 weeks of straight profits so far, and no losses as yet - cool uh?).

Online 'communities' are not real.
Not in the same way, or to same degree or depth, of real world communities.
This is not meant as a criticism of 'online communities', it is a wake up call to the reality of things.
Don't be delusional - it never ends well.
Trying to create an online community to mirror the cohesion of organic communities is an exercise doomed to failure.
I would also say be very wary of those trying to convince you that this is a possibility.
It's about profiting from creating the illusion, and nothing to do with philanthropy.
