I have the same problem but from a different angle.

Politics.

I'm one of the lucky ones when it comes to 'being on the ball', with answers.
(not a sign of intelligence, just the speed of synaptic activity)

When it comes to the politics of a situation, I'm slower than a stoned sloth.
Steem/hive is perfect example.
I never realized for months, the 'behind the scenes' politicking and game playing.
Seriously, I never even gave it a thought. I thought 'what we saw, is what we got'

Talk about slow? lolol

People playing politics (weak people trying to gain advantage through emotional manipulation of others) has never appealed to me.
I find it boring and negative (to me personally).
But then again, I'm happy to be seen for who I am, warts and all.

Being 'slow' has many faces, it's not just a problem solving, intellectual type, issue.

(4 years in, and I'm still trying to grasp it).
