Ned (or pick your whale) isn't MLK, and Steemit is not the civil rights movement.

I never said they were, it was the parallels of the 'styles of speech' by some here on stemeit, that I was pointing out, and how the two could merge quite neatly, with only a few words inter-changed.

In all of these cases, unlike with Nazi Germany, there is a means to escape if one finds themselves in inhospitable terrain here.

Just as point of historical accuracy, not pedantry.... many tens of thousands people left Germany before they didn't have that option open to them.
Just as the many Jewish people were actively encouraged to leave, and 'resettled' in Israel/Palestine.
....In 1935, Jewish immigration was 61,854 to Israel/Palestine.
( I don't have the figures to hand for the % breakdown from Germany, or the surrounding occupied countries. Many were from Russia - an another totalitarian regime).

At the time, they took that choice - presumably they were the ones that could see the shit storm coming..
The one that didn't see what was happening, (the elderly especially), stayed put...and the rest is history, as they say.

Historical accuracy - or my best attempt to find the accuracy - is essential, in my opinion.

The importance of aiming for historical accuracy trumps any, and all, posts on steemit! (IMO)
