piece you miss is that we are commanded as Christians to "render unto Caesar"...i.e. to pay taxes.

Ive read many things about the christian faith being a proganda machine for the roman administration - and this sentence supports that view.

Isn't 'to render unto cesar' , to bend the knee to a human authority?

Does this not conflict with christian teachings, in the purest sense?

To take one line as basis for 'taking the fruits of the labors of another' (tax), as legitimate, means to take all things said as literal.
It seems like a blip in the christian ethos (thou shalt not steal).

No offence matey, as i hope you probably know - but i will ask the hard questions.
(Wait until I get t the pearly gates - the doorman is gonna have a hard time off me! lolol)
