Bloomy's wither's incessant down voting on everything that I post, continues.
Oh well.
As mentioned earlier, I've been looking at several ways to counter his
toxic behavior on hive.(steem).
I've been looking at his voting steem/patterns, and he's basically up voting tens of accounts, all the time, with tiny up votes (1-4%), and then farming the curation rewards.
He also upvotes 50-100% on only a very few accounts.
Without any 'refuse upvote' mechanism, which doesn't exist at the moment (I don't think),there is nothing I/we can do - even if (as I first thought), we comment on every upvote he does, and thus making people aware of 'the manipulators' actions, and the 'no work', exploitative way he receives hive.
(such a typical, lazy SJW, type)
Apart from the vast amounts of time it would take every day to do this,it seems that many of his 'upvote posts', are never even engaged with. (ie they have no comments).
So it seems kinda pointless spending time and energy on leaving comments on posts that no one even engages with!
Stepping back, I re-assessed, or should I clarified, my objectives in this downvoting game that's going on right now.
To nullify wither's downvoting, either by 'taking the hits' on my account or by making sure that any accounts that he bullies, is not having their post value reduced by his down votes. (verified real accounts with interactions.)
My proposal:
I'll take the hits, there is no problem there, thereby reducing his down voting power elsewhere on the platform.
I can do this by making sure I upload enough posts for him to down vote on
(constantly depleting his d/v power).
This would entail that people on board with the 'anti-bloom initiative', up vote my posts (so he has something to down vote against).
edit: I could, rather than create numerous posts, simply comment in my normal posts, and get upvoted there instead... It would make my blog less messy, and still have the desired result..)
I have autovote accounts though, and do not wish to offend or take advantage of these accounts with multiple daily posts .
Hence I've tagged the ones that I can think of in this post, to draw their attention to my strategy.
(I'm sure I've missed a few)
In conjunction with this (i.e he gets bored and moves onto other accounts),
I will set aside hive from my up votes,so as to DIRECTLY reimburse accounts via a hive transfer, that are suffering. (the same way I do with the 50% profit that I give back to users, from any trading with hive).
He will then have no negative influence on other accounts in this case, and the user is 'ok', (value wise).
In a bizarre way, it also means that everything he down votes on because of the mentally retarded SJW ideology - will result in the wider distribution of hive across the platform - and all to accounts that value fee speech!
(which is definitely needed).
While not a perfect solution to fix all ills, it will enable other users to continue posting without fear of being penalized/intimidated/worried, from the toxic dwarf.
It also shows support by action of those that value free speech.
That seems like a win to me.
I'll do the leg work, if I have the support.
Moving forwards, does anyone have any influence with the witnesses ?
Why?
Well, it seems to me, that by giving the option of account holders to refuse upvotes from some other, specific account holders, we could not only stop farming such as is bloomy's current strategy (those with ethics would refuse such toxic up votes) but, we could actually stop the growth of accounts if they were not offering value via posts (or upvoting with integrity).
If he continues to down vote me, that's completely fine.
I'll eat up all his down voting power.
It means that he leaves others alone.
If I do, say, 5 short posts a day -'downvote fillers',(plus comments) - I think we will have been able castrated wither's power to do pretty much fuck all to any other accounts - and at the same time, offering support to any poor free speech advocate's that gets the 'eye of sauron' glaring upon them.
Also,if we can get the rules changed - so as to be able to refuse upvotes, we might have both castrated him, and then stuck his balls firmly up his ass, at the same time.
That being the case, then I will be commenting on every place that he upvotes (ones that have any engagement - that is)
'Refusing an upvote' mechanism is one step in the right direction of introducing ethical behaviors onto a 'code is law' system.
