A big part of me not taking risks I can't manage is that, I don't like making mistakes. It actually scares me. I would rather do something by the book and fail at it, than chart a new course and flop.
Maybe it makes sense whenever I make these mistakes, they come to haunt me, over and over again. Like that time I shouldn't have drank vodka, and I caught something I couldn't shake, or that time I ventured into that new business and lost all my money.
Maybe that's myopic, all those times I've gone out of a limb, and enjoyed it, Should've counted for something. Those times I tried new things, and they became my favourite things. But how would I have known if I didn't try?

Taking risks are scary, making mistakes for some people is unacceptable, but if you never try, you'll never know. And the afterthought of what might have been, will haunt you. From experience, the feeling is worse.
I learnt some time ago that, I don't actually fail, it's either I win, or I learn from it, and grow through that experience. Either way I'm one experience better than I was. Nowadays, I just want to try everything. I'll keep on making those new mistakes, I'll keep on making them everyday.
