Ever wondered how people can laugh in the face of the worst situations? They might look damn right crazy, but, it's a survival skill. That's probably the reason why I love movies which have the genres, drama, and comedy.

Sometime ago, my father got into a really bad deal. One that made him lose almost everything, and literally almost deprived him of his sanity. Being the captain of the ship, his mistake had a repercussion on the ship which my family is. Things went from bad to worse each day, and we were sinking fast. But there was one thing that kept us afloat, humour. My family is a large one with really wonderful characters, and whenever we get together, it's a comedy show, so we'd make fun of the situation, whilst praying and hoping that things got better.

As we struggle through life - and it can be a struggle sometimes - we need to keep a proportion about it. We get so down, lost in irrelevant details to such an extent that our life can speed past, and we don't even notice. By letting go of things that really aren't important, we can put ourselves on the right track. And the best way to do that is through humour - laughing at ourselves, laughing at our situation, but never laughing at others, they're just as lost as us and don't need to be laughed at.

We should be able to see something funny in whatever life throws at us along the way - and there is always some humour in everything. Learn to find the funny side of everything.
