I know. Mean trick! This post has nothing to do with being nekid.
It has to do with cleaning. More specifically, cleaning my follow list. As with the drop in Steem, many have quit blogging, and in the honorable tradition of spring cleaning, I "weeded" out the dead blogs.
A few I was sad to see go, but when the person hasn't written in two months, I just felt it was pointless to continue following.
Yes I know I could have just hit mute, but to me that wasn't the point.
And by removing dead blogs from my follow list, I feel a sense of letting go: a little lighter. Not quite the heavy load.
If you see me on Facebook or spot me in chat, surely you've noticed on occasion, me whining about lack of good blogs to follow, having a low upvote value, not getting any comments or upvotes to my posts...and blah blah blah. Well tonight while cleaning my follow list, something dawned on me.
Alot of the peeps who are still on my follow list, and who are active, have been around awhile!
Yeah.... probably a million peeps have said it before, but for some reason, while cleaning out my list, it really hit home!
If you're gonna get anywhere with this Steem thing, you gotta develop a "stick too it" attitude. That's how all those whales before us got to where they are now!
It took me forever.
To get from rep 48 to 49! I sure as heck can't give up now!!
Plus, with this slump, it's bound to go up again in the future which means a chance for all of us who pay our dues now, of, perchance-do I dare say it minnowhood!
I'm keeping my dream modest. Should it lead to dolphin or whale status, I will just be awe struck!!
But do you see my point? The potential for opportunity??
And so, it is Spring. Time for new beginnings. New growth. A chance to start a new!
