Today, Friday, a press report revealed a previous meeting between Kylian Mbappe, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, and John W. Henry, one of Liverpool's owners.
According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, the gathering dates back to 2017, while Mbappe was with Monaco, and lasted for two hours on a private plane.
It showed that the gathering witnessed Henry's efforts to persuade the player and his family to move to the positions of Liverpool, with the help of the clothing organization that obtained the Reds privileges.
She explained that despite all of Liverpool's efforts, the player refused the offer, and then agreed with Paris Saint-Germain to borrow, with the option to buy in mid-2018 for 180 million euros.
She expressed that this position gives Real Madrid a need for Liverpool if the two clubs choose to compete for Mbappe's arrangement now, especially since the player's agreement expires in the late spring of 2022.
