Today I woke up a little disappointed. The day dawned cloudy and rainy, and although that is normal at this time of the year, the bad weather went against the plans I had with my wife. Today we had planned to go to the Vedado neighborhood to buy a pair of shoes for her, and to take advantage of the day and go for a little walk to enjoy a moment just the two of us since the girl would be at school. Fortunately my wife is more enthusiastic than me, she was not intimidated by the weather, and she infected me with optimism. Besides, luckily it stopped raining, we were able to take the girl to school, and we were happy to have a few hours to ourselves.

When I went to choose a profession I did not think of being a teacher, I studied a degree in Sociocultural Studies and as life weaves in golden threads what will be our future when I finished as one of the best records I was selected to stay at the University teaching. Since then, every day I discover the love I have for teaching.

This Monday we started a new school year. I had already taught the students I have in the classroom today in 2022. At that time I received them in their first year, difficult times still pandemic, but I tell you that they are an excellent group, of those students who make us overcome to get to class.

Last Wednesday I had to do some work errands in Old Havana, and I was very happy about that because if there is one part of the capital that I enjoy walking around it is that. I had to walk up and down the hectic Obispo street, and on my way back home I discovered a small place but full of colors and brushes.

The holiday began for me in the second week of December, 2023 till the first week of January, 2024 which happened to be my annual leave. The first experience i had was that of the Couple's hangout/weekend which is an annual event organised to bring couples together to relax, enjoy and have a good time together. This was my first time of such hangout been newly wedded early October, 2023. It kicked started on a Friday evening with a movie night where we watch an interesting action movie and various refreshments were served. The following day kicked started with sporting activities involving different games of choice which was thrilling. There was a dinner in the evening which left me with different moments and sweet memories. All these came at a price of some token paid but the positive impact of this cannot be easily forgotten or overemphasized.

It is always important to take a break to take valuable quality time to clear our mind of everything that occupies and worries it, for this reason I took some time just for myself and decided to take a tour without a predetermined map to follow, just a recreation and leisure walk in the daily life of the streets of my town, specifically visiting the Plaza Colon of our beautiful city of Carúpano - Sucre State, having the joy of witnessing a wonderful cultural event in tribute to a popular cultist nicknamed "LA MOROCHA" picturesque character of our town, with live musical accompaniment and excellent entertainment.

Under the canvas of the sunset we admired together how little by little the sun set while we talked and laughed a little. We enjoyed every second walking barefoot across the front yard of my house while the evening light made us shine. It was something magical to see how the night fell with the person who has been with me for so long and has been my support in any situation. I would dare to say that when you watch a sunset with the person you love it is as if you were seeing it for the first time in our lives. Everything is more majestic than normal, everything is magical with her.

I want to stress the importance of sharing special moments with my family and with the new members of future generations. On this special day, we gather to celebrate and remember how lucky we are to have you in our lives. The family is a fundamental pillar in our existence, and events like this give us the opportunity to strengthen those bonds and create lasting memories.

Life is full of challenges that we have to overcome, I like to think that these challenges help us to be the person we are.

Each person decides what to do and what attitude to take, but sometimes it is necessary to read some advice and explain some topics to help make the decision.

My mom has always taught me many things, but in this opportunity I am going to explain three topics, which I consider important at all times.

We celebrated my son's birthday early since we couldn't celebrate on his actual birthday due to his school day and my work schedule. So, we decided to celebrate it on a Saturday. He isn't too picky; he's always grateful as long as we fulfill his wishes, which were sushi and cake. He doesn't like overly sweet food all the time, and he also doesn't enjoy hot drinks.

As my wife settled in to watch Netflix and my children immersed themselves in online games, I found myself in the kitchen, struggling with the hope that the new recipe I was trying wouldn't spoil the mood of celebrating my son's birthday. The aroma of sizzling butter and garlic filled the air, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.
