One of my strengths or at least an activity that I like to do is cooking, but beyond this I am an expert at inventing. Yes, just as you read, every time I read a recipe I ask myself, what if I change this for that, and in the end some good ideas come out and the final result teaches me why I shouldn't play with changing the ingredients. But today's recipe was not one of those cases, every time I have the ingredients and I have leftover rice, or I just get creative in the kitchen, I make this: Rice lasagna.

Christmas is about knocking on the door and will be here in 20 days from today. Christmas is the most popular feastive celebration and holiday in the world and most busiest I think. Here in Nigeria, the first sign of Christmas is harmattan and then unreasonable extra price on goods and services all because it is Christmas period. They won't have been able to do that if there is price regulation on all goods and services in Nigeria.

Since I have not been to school I can write more and I liked the ["Christmas at Home"] initiative "Navidad en Casa" that this community has, and I am going to tell you what is my favorite place in my house at Christmas, and it is the living room.

November 1st, 2023. It was a Wednesday afternoon and we were all too nervous because bad weather attempted. Even then, at the Opening Gala for the International Choir Festival of Santiago de Cuba "Electo Silva in Memoriam", Dolores Concert Hall was fullfilled. It was a glorious journey. Despite of the rain and even a blackout, the most important choirs gave the welcome to the journey of the choral music in Santiago de Cuba.

Continuing with the celebration of my husband Carlos Peña's birthday, I decided to make him a **COLD CAKE, WITH CHANTILLÍ CREAM** to share it on this occasion with part of the family, especially with his mother Teresa García, because it is always a good time to gather all of us to celebrate a special occasion and something special had to be made also for this celebration. The **COLD CAKE** is a delicious dessert based on pudding and cookies, and I accompanied it with a rich whipped cream, which also helped me to decorate the cake. It is also known as **TARTA MARQUESA** and it is very popular at Christmas time in my country Venezuela; it is my favorite dessert, I must confess, and when I have the economic possibility, I do not waste time to make it and it is worth mentioning that the birthday boy likes it too. I learned this recipe from my mother Katy Blanco, who loves sweets and used to make it for December 24 or 31, in my childhood. So I got down to work, bought all the necessary ingredients and started to prepare it, and I want to share with you the details of this elaboration; hoping you like it and if you have the opportunity, once you learn it, you can make it and surprise your special one in this beautiful season.

My dog's name was lucky, Lucky stayed with us for a year and six months and she became my closet friend to a point that she would want to follow me to everywhere I would go both to church, school, peer gathering and even to the farm.

Holidays are special seasons, I love Christmas so much, it's one of my favorite part of the year. Honestly, the day after the gala party ended, we each had to put on some shirts that were distributed for each one to put on that day. It is really perfect date for me because it is my wedding anniversary date. It has been 7 years I spent with my husband and I can’t wait for the next years ahead with him together.
